LA Times Square billboards have lit up promoting the new Global Alert application. The application focuses on giving an easy tool to members of the community to pinpoint trash hotspots. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight and record trash spots on any hiking routes or off the beaten path areas. This is just one example of the many positive innovations in dealing with pollution in the environment, this app focusing on creating a grassroots database.
